CE 9 Mass Test Questions

Hello class,

These are the three questions that I will ask you for the test:

1. In the story of Emmaus Road (Luke 24:13-35), explain how Jesus shows the two-fold structure of the Mass. In part do they recognize Jesus?

2. Name the 5 types of Old Testament sacrifice. Where does todah fit in? What is a libation?

3. What is the difference between an internal sacrifice and an external sacrifice? Explain why internal sacrifice must accompany external sacrifice? Use Psalm 51 as an example.

Use these to prepare your answers beforehand.

Here are the notes that you will need to use to study for the test.

For question 1:

For question 2: http://www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/supper_given_for_you_the_old_testament_story_of_sacrifice
For definition of Libation: use Google search

For question 3:
http://www.salvationhistory.com/studies/lesson/supper_one_sacrifice_for_all_time

External sacrifice refers to what you do for someone in a selfless way.
Internal sacrifice refers to what your intention is when doing an external act.
Refer to the skits we did concerning "doing something good and MEANING it" instead of "doing something that looks good, but your heart is not really into it."

God bless you,

Mr. MacLennan

CE 10 Final Writing Assignment

Hello class,

There is one more thing I need from you:

Remember the mid-piece reflection you wrote last class? Remember, I would like parts 4, 5, and 6 of Pope Benedict XVI's article to be responded to according to the sheet I passed out in class.

Here is the link where you can find Pope Benedict's article and the handout with the specific questions on it. You will also find the questions for the recent movies we have watched. THANKFULLY, you don't necessarily need to have watched the movies in order to answer the questions.

https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B7-4zrcqDIyGUVJEWFZMWDZkbzA/edit

I would like parts 4, 5, and 6, along with parts 1, 2, and 3 (or whatever you have) as a final assignment to add to your overall mark.

<><><><><><><><>

Currently, your mark may appear lower than you expect.

There is ONE MAIN REASON FOR THIS: You have not passed in most of the articles, responses, or questions from the Human Experience movie and Blood Money movie.

If you HAVE passed all of this work in, your mark will be where it should be
If you have passed in your service hours, your mark will be pretty good.

ALL THIS IS DUE BEFORE 9:00 AM THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 15.

God bless you all,

Mr. MacLennan

Hello class,

With the invasive species you chose in class, I would like you to research and answer the following four questions:

1. Write about where it is originally from
2. Explain how it dominates an ecosystem - What does the species do to dominate?
3. Where can you find this organism?
